WOODLEY & DISTRICT U3A: MEMBERSHIP     
Woodley & District U3A warmly welcomes any person:-
who is retired, semi-retired/no longer in full-time employment
from any ethnic, cultural, religious or political background
who embraces the spirit and ethos of Woodley & District U3A
who may already belong to another U3A (membership payable)
who abides by our constitution and conditions of membership
Woodley & District U3A is one of over 1,000 UK-wide U3As and is part of the Thames Valley Network of U3As. We currently have some 300 members and 50 interest and activity groups that members can join, subject to space availability. (See Groups page for the full list of our groups).

BENEFITS OF JOINING WOODLEY & DISTRICT U3A

All members are eligible to take part in our core activities as well as attend events and be involved in projects throughout the Thames Valley, i.e.
    
HOW TO JOIN
Come along to one of our Wednesday monthly meetings or social afternoons (see Diary page), fill out a membership form and pay our annual membership fee. Before joining, our Membership Secretary, or one of our committee members, will be happy to answer any questions and to provide additional information where required.


A membership form is also available on this website  which can be printed from the form webpage (click on link below). Send the completed form, together with a cheque for the membership fee to:
Woodley U3A, The Membership Secretary, 36 Norton Road, Woodley, Reading, RG5 4AJ.
Please supply an SAE if you prefer to have your membership card posted to you. Alternatively, your membership card can be obtained from the membership desk at the next monthly meeting.

MEMBERSHIP FEE
The Annual Membership fee is 20.00 which covers the period 1 April - 31 March each year.

Your membership fee includes a fee paid to our national organisation - the Third Age Trust, which provides a wide range of services and benefits for members, including liability insurance cover.

RENEWALS

In February/March each year, all members will receive a reminder to pay their annual membership fee by the 31 March. Where membership fees have not been received by 1 April, members are contacted with a request for immediate payment. Where fees have not been received within 8 weeks of the due date, membership will be suspended.

Please note, only members are able to join groups and will be required to show their membership card or provide their membership number when applying to join a group.

receive copies of the Third Age National Magazine each year and have access to the online Educational Journal of the U3A
attend Thames Valley Network U3A summer schools, organised study days and 'Shared Learning' Projects with focus on such topics as History, Drama, Music and Photography (click on Link below).
We encourage and support any members who would like to start their own group to share their interests, skills and knowledge.
